DENTAL

Valassis offers a variety of dental plans to meet the very specific needs of you and your family. Each option offers coverage for diagnostic and preventive services, basic and major dental services. Two of the options provide orthodontic benefits for associates and their dependents. The three plans offered are:

• Delta Dental Basic PPO (Point of Service) Plan
• Delta Dental Buy-Up PPO (Point of Service) Plan
• DeltaCare USA DMO

Delta Basic & Buy-Up PPO
Under the Delta Dental Basic PPO and Buy-up PPO you may receive care from any dentist. However, your out-of-pocket expense will likely be significantly reduced by using either a Delta PPO or Delta Premier Network Dentist.

The PPO dentist schedule of payment is deeply discounted. That means that if you use a Delta PPO dentist, your cost share will be reduced because it is based on a lower approved maximum benefit payment.

Delta Premier dentists are also in-network dentists. However, their reimbursement is based on a higher schedule, slightly increasing your cost share. Yet, neither Delta PPO nor Delta Premier dentists will ask you for the difference between the amount that they billed for your service and the maximum approved fee indicated by Delta.

DeltaCare USA
In order to receive benefits while enrolled in the DeltaCare USA DMO, care must be administered or referred by a participant’s DMO dentist. The only exception is a dental emergency.

ID Cards
ID cards will be issued to associates who are enrolled in the DeltaCare USA DMO. Associates enrolled in either the Basic or Buy-Up PPO will not receive ID cards. Dentists are able to verify PPO coverage and benefits by entering your social security number into the Delta Dental’s claim’s system.
