Plan Amendment and Termination
Valassis intends to continue each of the benefit plans indefinitely; however, we reserve the right to amend or terminate any of the plans at any time.

If a plan is terminated, your participation in that plan will automatically stop. Under the health and welfare plans, you are eligible to receive payment of any claims for expenses incurred before the date the plan terminates. If you are collecting short- or long-term disability benefits, those benefits will continue for as long as you qualify as disabled under the terms of the contract.

Guarantee of Employment
Your participation in any plan does not guarantee your continued employment with Valassis, nor does participation in any plan prevent Valassis from changing the terms of your employment. If you resign or are terminated or laid off, you do not have a right to any benefit or interest in the plans, except as specifically provided in the plan documents.

Keep Us Informed
It is your responsibility to make sure your benefit records are correct and that the personal information needed to administer your benefits is up-to-date. If you move, marry, divorce or gain a new child, or if your child marries, ceases to be a full-time student or is otherwise no longer an eligible dependent, please contact Human Resources as soon as possible. Certain status changes allow you to change benefit elections that you previously made, provided you do so within 31 days of the change in status.
